Hold on out there
One day,
when all problems are solved,
when I have come up with the right answer,
when I have helped all my friends to move from one flat to another for the very last time,
cause now no one ever has to move anymore,
cause now everyone has finally found their real homes
One day,
when I have forgotten what is meant by the worry of heart,
and when all people call themselves optimists,
completely without irony,
One day,
when X and Y have, after many years of wandering, finally understood that they are meant to be for each other
when everyone has reached the end of their searchings
and when we drink much more water,
because we laugh so damn hard that our mouths are completely dry,
and the sun is shining and there is enough of it for everyone
and Karen Lancaume runs in at the after party,
with a big smile and says
- That last story! Did you really believe that? Haha, but I would never!
and when nothing, really nothing ever goes wrong
That day I will find you all and take you back to your homes.
It might take some time, I know,
the children in your families might have already grown up by then
and their thoughts and palms might have turned from childish to adult ones,
and you too will perhaps have grown older and gotten new values and directions in your lives.
But please remember that while you are waiting,
that I am there,
and that I’m thinking about you and that I will never forget you
